How Does It All Work?

You provide the alcohol and we handle the rest. We’re also happy to contribute new drink ideas, as well as provide suggestions on how much alcohol to buy after we have your guest count and drink menu finalized.

Do you provide alcohol?

Alcohol must be supplied by the event host or a third party. We do not have a liquor license. Many liquor stores offer convenient delivery service and will buy back most unopened bottles.

What types of drinks do you serve?

We specialize in serving craft cocktails, beer, wine and champagne. But we can also serve mocktails, coffee, tea, hot cocoa and more. Let’s get creative!

What’s the cost?

The final price will be determined based on the location of your event, number of event hours, anticipated number of guests, and any additional service or package options.

How do I secure a date?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date and time. The balance is due 2 weeks prior to your event.

Requirements?

The Happy Camper can serve on private property only. We require flat ground for setup and service, and clear access upon set-up and break down to enter and leave the location. The Happy Camper needs enough space to park the 15’L x 7’W x 10’ H (when opened) Volkswagen Camper mobile bar, with additional space to maneuver the Camper into place. The serving window is only on one side of the mobile bar.

Do you need access to power?

No, we bring our own generator.

What are your policies on checking IDs and cutting people off?

We check IDs. Serving minors is illegal and is taken very seriously by the law. Anyone who is visibly intoxicated will be cut off. Our goal is for you and your guests to have fun, but the safety of your guests is our priority.

What happens if it rains?

In the event of inclement weather, the event host is responsible for providing tent coverage for The Happy Camper. If an event is cancelled as a result of poor weather, we will try, availability permitting, to schedule an alternate date or will apply the deposit toward a future event date.

How far will you travel?

The Happy Camper will travel throughout New Jersey and beyond. Additional travel fees apply for events over 30 miles from Wall, NJ.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we carry full liquor liability and general liability insurance, which we can provide to any venue upon request.

Are your bartenders certified?

Yes, all of our bartenders are highly trained and are TIPS and ServSafe Alcohol Certified.

Do you offer rental-only of the mobile bar?

We accept rental-only bookings of the Happy Camper any day of the week during our off-season November through April and for weekday events May through October. If your weekend event is less than 4 weeks out, and we still have the date available, we’d be happy to work with you. Please inquire for pricing.

Do you provide bartenders only?

Our talented bartenders are available for hire to serve at your event without the Happy Camper. Their hourly fee is $75 with a minimum of 4 hours.

What size liquor bottles should we purchase?

For best serving practices of quick and efficient service, we ask our clients to supply 750ML or 1L bottles.
